A Ring Bearer’s Pillow

Double Happiness is a blessing traditionally bestowed upon a Chinese bride and groom, meaning ‘May you have twice as much happiness and half as much sadness in your marriage’.

The front side of this pillow cover design features the Chinese symbol meaning Double Happiness. The backside of the pillow is plain except for lines of eyelets through which ribbon or other embellishments can be woven through. Additionally, the backside is knit in two pieces for easy insertion and removal of a small pillow.

Finished Measurements:
8.5 inches * 8.5 inches/21.6cm * 21.6cm
To fit a 9-inch/22.9-cm square pillow or pillow form snugly

Materials:
SIS Yarns Pure Merino Lace Weight [Hand-dyed, 100% Merino wool; color Red; 1 skein]
1 pair US 0/2mm needles, or size to obtain guage
Row counter
Tapestry, or blunt sewing, needle
9-inch/22.9cm square ready-made pillow or pillow form

Optional Materials:
Gold ribbon 1/8 inch wide/3mm wide
Matching thread to ribbon

As with all my patterns, you will receive a pdf document providing step-by-step instructions on how to make the ring bearer’s pillow. Written instructions as well as knitting charts are included.
