Lucky Purse

This is the purse to take to the gambling hall or on a first date or wherever else a little extra luck is wanted. Horseshoes cascade down the sides of this knitted purse. Traditionally, horseshoes are hung over a doorway to bring luck to the entire home. Yet, such horseshoes are heavy and cumbersome to drag all over town. This purse lets the wearer bring the luck along.

The purse is knit entirely in the round, eliminating those annoying seams. Once you bind off, all there is left to do is weave in the loose ends and create a drawstring.

The knitting pattern will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to make the purse pictured above. The instructions list the materials needed to complete the project along with the appropriate gauge. For your convenience, I have provided an abbreviated list of these materials below. The instructions then go on to detail how to knit the wool purse and drawstring, how to construct the lining, and how to attach the lining to the purse once completed. Due to the construction of the lining, a sewing machine is recommended but not necessary so long as you are confident in your running stitch.
